In celebration of getting the museum cabs up and running again, Ianski, t-m and nes4life will be running 'The Arcade Experience', a public arcade gaming event, on 2nd September 2017 at The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge. We're planning on getting over 20 arcade machines into the museum and creating a classic arcade experience for an evening. There'll be all the usual museum exhibits and computers (mainly running arcade conversions), a licensed bar, blaring 80s music, classic cabs, a high-score competition and the best food only a pizza van can provide!

Those attending from the forum will get entry into the museum all day Saturday for just the cost of attending in the evening (i'll get a code and a link up soon). For those that really want to get involved, there's an opportunity for a few to bring and show-off a cab, cocktail or cabaret and get free entry; just send one of us a PM.

Would be great to see some of you again and hopefully a few new faces. The museum is a pretty cool place to visit in itself.

Just to point out the event is all about playing games, talking shop and having fun rather than trying to fix machines, but anyone is welcome to do so if the machines decide to play up :D

Ok. Let me check the calender and if I'm free I can bring along a couple or maybe a few cabs. It's a cool place with all the retro computer stuff to play and arcade machines.

Also there is a travel lodge and premier inn very local with in walking distance.

Fish Tales Pinball!

Thanks to our awesome friend Bonehead we now have a pinball table at the event which will we great and make the arcade experience more "arcadey" (It's a really cool table too as well).

Phil please add this to the top of the thread :)

Dammit dammit, so very nearly had a room and ticket booked, then had my free weekend snatched away at the last sec. Sorry to miss out on such a great event & a long overdue return to Cambridge for me as well. I was really looking forward to it.

Have a bump & I'll buy a ticket or donate the same to show support.
