anyone remember the computer shop just off Lower Hillgate, Stockport circa 1987 to 1990? they had about 4 cabs at the back of the shop, I remember queuing up to play Double Dragon and buying commodore/amstrad posters for £1.50 and dizzy games for 3 quid

I used to go to Stockport quite a lot, but don't remember it.

I spent a fair bit of my youth in the dingy arcade/pool hall near the bus station, though!

actually I think I do recall that arcade, was it also a greasy spoon cafe? or was it near that cafe which was basically attatched to the bus bays, there was also a newsagents there aswell (roller shutter newspaper stand type)

or there might have been one inbetween the bus bays and lower hillgate?

It was in the ground floor of the old mill right behind the bus station, Dunc.

I honestly don't know the name of it (none of my friends new at the time, either, it was just 'Stocky Arcade' to us).

Looks like this, now.
