Can't remember what machine it was I got but it had a load of old MESS Coins inside it, I didn't even know what they were till I looked it up which is always interesting so assume that was at army base sometime in it's life

My fav cab would probably have to be Chase HQ as it's sitdown and I played on it in the Skegness Arcade but I love Op Wolf too

Not sure if I got them on the Goliaths or came seperate but I had 2 panels in Stainless Steel, what a nightmare to cut more holes though, wrecked all my tools doing it lol

Nice ,love that Konami gt . I had an overdrive .they don’t come up very often .
Hope to have over drive running by the end of the week fingers crossed .
Love the side art and very crisp after 35 years ! There is a nice unused sticker inside with Electrocoin manual and Konami .

Luckily I have the board for that but none for the midi drivers . They will both be early next year .

I just love these midi drivers and to bag 2 of them in one go in 2025 is fantastic. I haven't seen one for sale in years, they are pretty rare! It really is great to see these sort of cabs still turning up and interestingly you keep getting them in pairs :) It's also great to see them ending up in the hands of a passionate collector that will look after them and knows what to do with them.

I was looking at a picture of the dedicated Spy Hunter Midi Driver last week and I solved a mystery that had puzzled me for around a decade.
I've got a couple of Spy Hunter self adhesive vinyl marquees, or at least I thought they were marquees as they are marquee size (see pic).

I just assumed they were made quickly for a trade show or an open day when they didn't have time for screen printing them on flexi or something. When I looked closely at the pic of the Spy Hunter cab though I noticed it had side art and on closer inspection it turns out what I though were makeshift marquees is actually side art. Can't believe I've never noticed that before.

That is brillant Matt ! Wow , spy hunter in one of those midi drivers would be wonderful. They are certainly very interesting cabinets and a joy to move around as so compact . I like the dog kennel style entrance over the pedal ! 😂
Really looking forward to getting to work on these next year ! Pulled all the metal off now and will treat in one batch. So much rust and corrosion on the front but the insides are clean, glass is complete , cpo have cleaned well and structurally sound so look very promising.

I have been very fortunate with the cabinets I have managed to buy and work on recently. Massive thanks to @Alpha1 for the midi drivers and Over Drive cabinets . Also equally @CoS72 for the pair of Xenon’s which he has done an incredible job with. He also helped with a mass Electrocoin move last weekend and is a top chap and incredibly knowledgeable too !

Never worked on a driving cabinet before today but spent the afternoon working and going through ‘Over Drive ‘ and Finally got to play it for the first time !!

Phwoarrrrrr. Love it!

If anyone else has one of these please let me know and I'll offer very generous trades.
I know you will definitely only want the original but we could look at having this hi res scanned then file cleaned where needed and printed on translite if there is the demand and interest from forum

I was saying exactly that the other day to ant when I was trying to find pics of these Midi Drivers and noticed the side art if you can call it that lol as I've got same sticker too :D

Shame one of these wasn't Spy Hunter cab really, would have been a nice rare thing to pop up, though it could have been one and been changed

Strange wheel centre on the right cab, that's Sonic that did Sega stuff in spain was it

I know !! Luckily I have a premium subscription now to @_Matt_ and his vast arcade image library 😂.
I think the wonderful thing about the midi drivers is of course they will be able to run any driver board of that era. I found the schematics for pole position 2 to unigame in the glove box of the super driver cabinet. The Konami gt has the unigame to GT adaptor so will make that one complete once refurb finished.
As regards the super driver I am glad the cpo has cleaned so well and has all the original bits inc badge on wheel.
This is the marquee .

Love it when Electrocoin did the focused lit areas on the marquee (Aliens - EC Konami is one of my faves for this)

I noticed @muddymusic has the repro for the midi drivers and wondered if it was a cabinet he had worked on previously ?
Will do a full restore thread of these.. anyway back to everything else first 😂

Ha you all seen or was at Timewarp UKVAC, that Overdrive in there never had so much play when you lot came over.
I was disappointed to miss the recent Timewarp meet, Will definitely try and come to the next one and see if @arcadeandy can join me. Had a good session on Over Drive last night but just a beginner.
Do they have the same Electrocoin version there Dave ?
