the
hall is approx 2,100 sqft, with a bar "similar to daventry". we are hoping for
30 pinballs,although this might be a few too much, we are in dire need of
pinball pledges. we have enough pinballs to hold the open, but want more !!! the
venue will only take 200 people, so im thinking 70 machines should be fine. the
other cabs will be video cabs, ranging from the very best classic williams cabs,
to the more recent japanese candy cabs. we will be holding a raffle and all
donations are most welcome. there will also be high score events on both
pinball, sit down driving cab, and video cab, more info to follow. make no
mistake this will be a cracker !!! if all goes well, we will have live internet
feeds, more info to follow. for people traveling by train we should have
transport lined up, to and from the venue.

its shaping up nicely

the raffle prizes are starting to roll in too. we have got some very welcome cab pledges lined up. its looking like we will have a large showing of candy at this, most likely the largest group of candy ever seen in scotland

there will also be a few of the more well known classics too, and not forgetting pinballs.

i know its sh*te,but i will copy and paste some stuff i have posted on forums etc.

still needed, score keepers, and more cab pledges. we will collect machines and drop them back in our hired luton.

im still working on competitions, but we should have a few throughout the weekend, details to follow.

and remember this is an official pinball ranking event.

and scotlands finest player, hijon, has also pledged 4-5 tables.

we are now almost complete

get your tickets now, when we publicise this in scotland, it will sell out.

for the first time ever, the nba fast break tournie will be heading up north

the total pledge from northern lights pinball will be 7-8 in total

these guys are awesome, not only do they love this stuff, they will also go that extra mile to bring pinball to the masses. without guys like this most folk wouldnt be able to see, much less play pinball.

its still not too late to pledge cabs, or indeed book a ticket for this event.

we are still looking for raffle prizes, if you have something you want to offer then give us a shout.

the posters will be going out to get printed and as of next week we shall be putting them in the public domain. i have also contacted a reporter i know and he has asked for more details in order to get us some space in the local rags. i also have a long lost mate who is a producer for scottish t.v.

this is a world pinball ranking event

Magic ol, your a star. I'm trying to buy a jammacab for the raffle but they seem to have went up in price. I gave all mine away for 50 a cab, lol. I'm chasing the 1 in Dundee, but the guy hasn't replied yet. I defo caught some sort of bug at Manchester. I'm totally blocked and stuffy.

Anything at all, I'm pretty sure the bulk of people attending will be new to the scene. I should have been out on the scrounge at the weekend, but I feel like the wee snottery thing, in flight of the navigator

big thanks to malc, we now have a projector for the score table

all we need now are the trophys and winners. oh and the cabs.

a wee update on all the info we have.

we have at the monent approx 22 pinball pledges and about 12 candies, with hopefully 28 wooden cabs. i will be contacting all pledgers in the next week or so to arrange uplifts of the pledged cabs. we would like 30 pinballs

im still rounding up cabs, so its not too late to pledge them.

for our english freinds, the heavy on tap is john smiths, a good pint im told

lager wise its tennents, carling, stella and i think carlsberg.

we have got the software and a projector for the scoring

nope its not me handling this

there will be competitions all weekend i8ncluding "the NBA fastbreak tournament

this is 2 pinballs linked for head to head action. its a very fast paced game of pinball, high octane stuff. no limit to the number of balls you use, if your ball goes out of play, it is sent back into the game, think basketball using a pinball table to play. a major thanks to "northern lights pinball" for bringing this to scotland, its a first for us up here, well worth an entry. anybody can win this comp

the scottish pinball open, this will be held over 2 days. entry is free, but you must register on the saturday for this. on satrurday all players will take 1 credit each on 4 pre-selected pinballs. the top 8 players will play in a final heat on sunday with the top 3 getting awarded trophys. the tables for both days will be drawn from a hat, each table considered viable will be given a number and placed in the draw, an independant person will make the draw.

for the video heads, we will hopefully be hosting a classic high score competition. i need to price things but at the moment its looking like "the jammaplus classic" this will be much the same as above. we will also be doing 1 or more high score competitions with a buy in

this will cost you 100 yen or maybe 50 yen, it depends on the slot

each credit will cost you 50 new pence, at the end of the day the highest score wins

the money will be split 30/70 with the 30% going to charity

im not saying anything about these games, but we might need to bat grobda from them

these comps will be run over both days. so if you fancy yourself as a "bit of a player" this is your chance to make some cashback

we will be having a piper to play out the prizes

and hopefully some media coverage too, so comb your hair.

we only have 2 weeks left until it happens. do you want to be a part of gaming history ???

Task for today is sort Stargate out (dry connection somewhere in neck board by the looks), and mebbe rotate the tube in my "BAS" cab with a view to getting Arkanoid up and running for this. Also got Zero Point to dig out from the back of the garage to see if it wants to play
