thoughts on gas BBQs

So i need a new BBQ, foolishly forgot to clean the one i bought last year and its full of mould, so down the BBQ rabbit hole i go

now, i have noticed lots and lots of gas BBQs, which kind of makes me think..WHY?

isn't that defeating the point somewhat, i don't mean the crappy cleanup afterwards but the whole point of a charcoal BBQ is so you are cooking with the coals/wood

i dont get it, i kind of understand the ease of it all, but for me it missed the point

I agree, seems pointless.

Cover the inside of your old BBQ in lighting fluid top and bottom, throw some wood / cardboard in there and light it up with the lid closed. 10 minutes later good as new. I'm still using my BBQ from 11 years ago.

If the grill is still nasty you can buy replacements, just measure the old one they're usually a standard size.
