ThunderBlade on AfterBurner Hardware Patch

Here's a quick EPROM patch, so that ThunderBlade can be run on AfterBurner hardware without rewiring the controls.

Usually the X-Axis controls are inverted, so you'd have to change the wiring in the cabinet.

In theory this should make the two boardsets easily swapable.

I haven't tested this on hardware yet, only emulation. But there's no reason it shouldn't work.

Nice work Chris. That’s a good mod for hobbyists with an AB cab.

How about a mod to play both games from one board?

I'll leave that one to the professionals!

It's bizarre that the control wiring is identical to Afterburner aside from the X axis. I wonder if this was a mistake by sega or intentional, especially as some thunderblade uprights were identical to Afterburner bar the artwork.

It is odd considering all the Mini Sega cabs you see which started life as Afterburner and were converted to Thunderblade. But then I suppose an op wouldn’t complian at cutting and crimping a few wires in hope of making new money from an old cab.smarty2018-10-09 15:59:02
