There's an empty space there for a socket adjacent to the three program roms. I would say, that's where to put it. It should run, it just will not recognise your version of software ( Atari and Konami only ). If you're getting a grid test pattern then the diagnostic should run, as long as the first program rom is intact.

The other two vacant spaces appear to be associated with sound, so leave those two alone.

Thanks for the info. Since getting the grid pattern / title screen the other day, it now seems to just display a 'grey' screen. Wondering if there might be a bad solder joint somewhere.

Good to know thanks dude, I'm just waiting for some sockets to test it out.
