Well, my absolute prized possession is my really nice condition Atari US Star Wars cockpit :) It's running Mark Spaeth's great SW/ESB multigame, has the original unburnt 25" Ampli and is about to receive a new flight yoke courtesy of a RAM Controls premium rebuild kit. It's undergoing restoration to correct the few blemishes that stop it being an absolute minter. Look out for a resto thread in the near future.

Other than that I've got Operation Bear, an Italian (AFAIK) clone of Operation Wolf. Quite nice as it has hand painted side art and the metalwork is undergoing (very slow) restoration. I hope I can remember how to reassemble it all. This was my very first cab :)

I also have a pretty nice condition Point Blank cab running PB1 & PB2 boardsets. I'd like to get the artwork fully sorted for this so am always interested in any pointers to the Western artwork.

I've got an Electrocoin NeoGeo which is in very good condition. It was restored by the previous owner but includes the NeoGeo memory card for game saves which I understand is relatively rare to find. Currently has a dead U250 which is on my list to fix as I want to keep it original given the previous owners superb restoration.

I've also got a Naomi Universal which I converted to JAMMA and fitted a tri-sync chassis from Ordy. This one lives inside as it looks quite nice and fits in with the rest of the room. I keep threatening to get it stripped and powder coated again to get the metalwork back to perfection.

I'm pretty full now, so any future cabs are likely to be on a 1-in, 1-out basis but I have my grail now so I'm not actively looking for anything.

I'll get some pictures up for anybody who is interested.

cheers

tim

Doh. I can't believe I forgot Ice Cold Beer (the 200x remake version), especially as I was playing on it last night whilst waiting for primer coats to go off.

I have a very, very nice condition ICB which is a semi-mechanical game for those who've not come across it. You have independent control of the left and right side of a metal bar on which rests a ball bearing. You have to move the metal bar upwards, avoiding holes in the playfield whilst trying to drop the ball into the lit hole. I am incredibly bad at this and have been soundly beaten by everybody who has played it, including my Dad!

This image should clarify what I've written above :)

ps I should also add this is the tallest game I've ever come across. It must be about 7ft tall! It also has the ticket dispenser and some tickets, so when it cycles back inside the house I'll be hooking that up.

I think its 2005, I'm sure it says so somewhere on the cab. I miss her

ICB is a top game. Of all my cabs that is probably the one that draws people's attention the most . It seems to appeal to people who wouldn't ordinarily play a video game and has just the right balance of reward/frustration to keep people trying to beat their score.

Even though SWC is in restoration mode now, it was playable before and still most people wanted to play ICB and not sit in my little TIE fighter. Now that's playability for you!
