MMm not a massive fan of cliffys as they affect the travel of the ball. Had one on my Addams Family and had it deflect a few balls from going in the chair scoop so removed it.
In a home use environment they aren't really warranted IMO. However in the unlikely event that my scoop start to wear I'll put one there to hide any damage otherwise I prefer it without.
