Not wanting to tread on toes or anything, I always feel like a bell wearing them but are people up for lanyards etc. I'm **** at introductions as those who have spoken to me know 🤣

Could drop them at the door or upstairs at the bar or something? Don't mind taking an afternoon to print some off if people wanted them?

Good idea although @Stokers will be suited and booted with a pink carnation for @TheDaddy who everyone will recognize, as he will be wearing a 'Big Spoon' badge

I will be operating in sealth mode until I confirm that The Daddy is infact the very small man /child presented in the GIF he keeps using.

If this is established to be the case, I will initiate a suprise elbow drop from the top of the Daytona machine, splatting the Daddy and subsequently declaring myself the victor.

I’ve booked a ticket as per the earlier advice to get in early.
Not decided on transport yet.
Most likely getting the train up from London and back same day if anyone has any advice on cheapest returns etc?
Trainline.com is wildly inconsistent!!

Try getting a non Avanti to Crewe and look at getting to Bury from there, even if you have to change a few times, the split tickets will probably work out better.

If you're desperate let me know and I might be able to give you a lift depending on when you're arriving although I was probably going to be there from opening and so the 12 hour shift šŸ˜‚

Top advice, I’m grateful!
I’ll give it all some thought!

The more I look into it, the more I’m leaning towards driving up and staying…

First world problems, eh?

Sometimes it works out cheaper and about the same time to do the last leg by bus. It's saved me about 40 quid to get the train to Bolton, then the bus direct to Bury. Avoids having to go into Manchester and backtrack too.

There’s just no civilised infrastructure once you get north of Hertfordshire!!

I’m now heavily leaning towards staying up there.
The hotel is a very similar cost to the train, once all the changes and faffing are factored in it’s not a significantly different travel time, and it means I won’t have to leave early, thusly forfeiting my spot at the top of the respective Daytona and Turf Masters leaderboards…

Door to door too. Much less effort.

Reckon Arcade Club will let me leave the car in their car park overnight??

We're on the same page... I feel like a numpty wearing them, but they are helpful. Especially to me, as I have difficulty recognising faces, so I'll often end up ignoring people that I've spoken to before

How about a small inconspicuous ā€œUKVACā€ badge? That at least tells us that people who wear one are members? We can then go up and say hello?
