Sorry I'm not around much still (although some, maybe most, are happy about that!)
Anyway,
I am still here but life is so hectic atm I don't often know whether
I'm coming or going. Riley has just started school so had loads to sort
out with that. Luckily as he's on a guardianship order we get first
choice of school which is good as the one closest to us has a great
report. The missus mum is still in a care home with dementia and there
seems to be a permanent ongoing battle to make sure she's looked after
as well as possible.
Now onto the main one... My mum had been
diagnosed with onset dementia last November and I was taking time off
work to help her. Unfortunately, she got too much for the help I could
give (won't go into it) anyway about 2 weeks ago she was sectioned under
the Mental Health Act (section 2) and is currently in a secure hospital
unit whilst they do tests, etc. I'd be completely shocked if she will
go home again and tbh she's becoming aggressive in hospital (which I can
understand) it however makes me wonder if a care home can be found. I'm
obviously not posting a lot of details about my mum as it's her life
not mine. I was present whilst she was sectioned and made sure
everything was done correctly and also call the hospital daily and visit
her as often as possible and take her a Costa coffee as she loves them
and some supplies.
To end... If you have missed me then I will be
back just no idea when properly... I still try to make some events but
it's not as easy as it used to be. Maybe things will settle down soon,
who knows!
