Welcome to Vacfest 2020!

It’s coming down South and Central for the first time and will be held in Buckinghamshire.

What better way to kick off the summer with two of the best things about UKVAC, classic arcades and the community collectors.

Event will take place on the 2nd of May 12noon until midnight and open Sunday 10am until 1pm
Tickets will be priced at £15 and all profits will go towards the event and cab donations.
Lanyards will be made and you will have to pre book tickets, I will not except money on the day.
Email me alex at nintendoarcade@yahoo.com
Please give your full name and UKVAC profile name in the email
There is a premier inn and travel lodge in Thame which is only 10 mins from the event by car.
Watch this thread for further updates and arcade machine list.
Many thanks Alex aka Nintendo arcade

More details to follow.

Accomodation for VacFest

The hall is about ten mins from Junction 8 of the M40 and about ten mins from the closest Station Haddenham and Thame Parkway. There are a few places to stay in the vicinity. Probably the most convenient would be the Travelodge in Thame (ten mins from the M40) which is less than ten mins drive to the hall. No good food on site although there is a Burger King, Greggs and Subway next door

Alternatively the Travelodge in Aylesbury is only a bit further out in the other direction and is a bit better served by local pubs & eateries.

For those looking for something a bit cosier (more expensive) there are some good pubs in the area, the best being the Angel in Long Crendon which is 3 miles away, the Mole & Chicken in Easington 3.5 miles away or The Hundred in Ashendon 2.5 miles away.

Of course there is also the option of a tent in Alex's back garden but not sure what the neighbours would say

Fingers crossed I will be working in the area in the week before or after so I can make it, otherwise, its a bit far for me, and not easy to get there by rail.

I plan on coming. Just going to take a look at transport and accommodation options.
Anyone travelling in from the South East? Otherwise it'll be the train for me

Turns out I’m not working an event that weekend so I’m 95% there at the mo once I’ve cleared it with the boss, and if I do I’ll bring a couple of the guys and if it’s wanted, I’ll see if I can bring a machine too, depending what I’ve got in at mine at the time. If I’ve got several in and it’s needed, I’ll grab a van and bring a few.
