As the others have said nice job - looks spot on!

I've been thinking of building a cabaret replica but couldn't find any dimensions online. Is yours based on a Donkey Kong cabaret design? Looks like it might be.

Not really, although it does look similar. I just made up the side profile based on what I liked the look of, I had Atari's cabarets in mind at the time. However I did copy the idea for the marquee and the base from Nintendo's cabaret designs. I like the way Nintendo mounted the marquee behind the front panel, so the fixings aren't visible.

Unfortunately the PC motherboard I was using died so I had to replace the motherboard and graphics card. While at it I also replaced the hard drive with an old laptop drive which is much quieter. Up and running well again

Thanks for the compliments by the way!

Only just seen this (I know what the hell!) and had to comment just to say hell of a job, I love that cabinet style and this is excellent work.

Many thanks!

Thinking of doing a similar size horizontal screen one this year...

Is there any chance at all you could do a couple of extra sets of the woodwork if you do a horizontal cab? I would die for the chance to make a couple of console based cabs, although I am sure thy wouldn't tun out as beautiful as your one, it really does look fantastic!

Thanks chaps! I've just about finished another similar one with a horizontal screen in it - I will make a thread for it once I can take some pics...

I'm seriously considering getting someone to CNC me the wooden panels to scratch build a cabaret jamma cab since I can't find what I want to buy (a very tidy 14" monitor example). This is stunning, but for me I would want it a bit wider so that the monitor mount could be square and could therefore slide out, rotate 90 degrees and then slide back in again. Screen rotate is not something that I would do very often but I would want to be able to do it.
