Looking at getting some plastic storage containers for my VHS boxed tapes. Any recommendations? Was looking to store in the loft.

Must have about 1000?? Been a while since I've watched them. Got them boxed up in the garage at the moment.

Cheers

B*M and wilko all the clear boxes have gone stupid prices, rember when boxes were a fiver ! B&M however does the best/largest selection of sizes though, they do some not too high so my be ideal for VHS. They must have 10 + sizes.
Oddly I was in Wickes the other day they did some really sturdy black boxes with lids on I bought a few of those for about £7 each to store some consoles in, no chance of yellowing !!! But B&M had the most selecction, B&Q was expensive for not a lot.

Cheers will take a look. Just got VHS from my youth so kept them. Still got widescreen crt to enjoy them on.

Watched Star Trek VI on VHS the other day. Living like it's 1991 :)

I swear by Really Useful Boxes. I like the fact the design doesn't change and you can buy spare lids. Plus they're super strong.

Surely VHS in an attic is a bad idea due to lack of temperature control?

Thanks cools. Just need to store them somewhere. Garage is not ideal. Haven't got room in the main house. Loft left. Will it destroy them?

Got to have a think of where to keep them

I collect VHS and watch them regularly :)

As for storage the loft is not a good place due to temp and humidity changes. I guess if you really wrap them up snug and keep them in a waterproof storage box to keep any surface humidity off them they should be ok.

If anyone is looking to offload any VHS movies give me a shout.

yes it is B&M who I was referring to do the really useful boxes, but they are expensive for what they are.

I used to have a lot of the video nasties on VHS before the prices dropped when DVD's came out. Sold mothers day , hills have eyes for next to nothing in the end.

Used to have a lot of guild suff in the big boxes like lemon popsicle etc !

Also remember the hokushin label had some that were very thin Cardboard boxes like Sisters and Q the winged serphant.

I even imported stuff like men behind the sun in from Australia !

I am a bit upset I seem to have lost my uncut Absurd somewhere but think that eventually got a release on bluray ?

I had some in loft and they did rot like a green covering on tape. Happened to stuff like lethal weapon 3, although was in a big thick case too.

I bought 10 of these from place in Birmingham a few years back, think i paid £5 each, will outlast anything you buy in shops, if you can find supplier localish

Got car parts in them till that's sold and then will use for other things, stackable when empty to save space
