Hi there!

Ok, I have a pair of Virtuality 2000 PC`s, as well as other kit!

I have tested the 4 Visettes with power to start with.

2 power up fine

1 only has one LCD and half the functions working - I guess power loss on right side.

last one has a different connector - so un-tested as of yet.

I have started to strip down the first VR PC. Here are the pics.

All the cards now out.

PSU & other metal work out.

The collection of metalwork.

Thats it so far.. I`m going to take these to work to get them clean the best I can, before re-assembly and testing.

Keep looking!

I got it donated to me from a kind guy in USA, thanks to Chappy putting him in contact with me.

I will be working more on it at the weekend ;-)

A quick update...

Pics to follow - once I get a good process going.

VR PC is now back in one bit, all booting fine!

I have had to add external hardware to get it too boot successfully though. It will not boot to a game yet, as I need to check the graphics output.

I have checked the tracking, and that seems to be working fine.

Just the graphics and audio to sort out, then I`ll finalize the console wiring and once all tested, I`ll start to build it into a working unit..

updates to follow :)

this file is a PDF of a local news paper report the features me and RCM. I`m on Alpha`s `old` VR machine, that we purchased and restored - thanks mate! Lots of work was needed tho!

This VR and Mine will appear at Snibston Discovery Museum over the 4-day Easter weekend, as a 2-player setup - all being well!

I can dig out all my 2000 series NOS boards and offer them up if anyone wants them. I don't need them anymore.

I have the headset and sticks/controls from the sitdowns also.

Ah OK

Too much time spent with cars. NOS in my vocabulary means Nitrous Oxide for getting a cheeky few hundred more bhp out of an engine on a short term blast up a dragstrip.

I'd be interested in any bits that would help getting my Duo working again. Perhaps Simon and I need to compare lists of what we have.
