Warning when buying from sellers

We've had a few cases recently of new joiners sending PMs offering goods from wanted ads to you all.

Please please please if you don't know the user then please check their feedback and also their join date.

Any concerns please PM a moderator or admin and always pay with a payment system that will protect you in the event of non postage or scams.

Yeh sadly there seem to have been a few recently , I think the fact they are offering what you want at a good price is blurring peoples judgement.

Very hard though as I brough of someone recently who was sound , did me a cracking price and sent the stuff well packed within days of me paying. He had no feedback and was not on here for long.

Remember dont pay friends and family if you are not willing to loose your money & be carefull out there & also Remember if its too good to be true it normally is !!!

You're proof it's very easy to post a lot

but it would be a good deterrent and I can't see many people making 10 legit looking posts just to try and scam someone. If they spam just to get access the trading section they'll get banned before they have a chance to scam someone.

One trick seems to involve providing the e-mail address of a 'friend' who has a game you're looking for.

It's a bit concerning, it makes you question all the 'hi there' welcome posters, although the scammers so-far have been a bit strange (some dubious, posts that looked auto-generated and badly translated).

Yeah, a bit like that. I just can't work out if it's a bot or not. I'm still assuming not, and arcade boards are so expensive these days it's worth someone grubby little bellend's time to create posts to scam people.

If you view a users profile there is a link to their feedback where you can then also leave them some feedback.

I think it is easier to find on the desktop version over the mobile version, actually just gave it a try and its fairly easy on mobile as well.

Didn’t know it existed until the other week when a buyer told me he’d left some feedback. Will start using it from now on. It’s a bit of a faff to get to it.
