Id certainly go to the Ombudsman, they will never stop mate. It took me just over 6 months to get them off my back. Was trying to grieve for her and all i could do was been angry at this company, if you can call them that of course. Give them a call ASAP mate.

We do have a Water Meter and my bills every month since April 25 have been £127 pm = £1,524pa. That's for a family of 4. Yokshire Water are total robbing bastards.

The bills in the year preceding April 25 were £66 pm. God knows how much they will potentially charge me if bills are set to inrease again from April this year

Scum bags mate BG. Id rather freeze then use them. When my eldest daughter passed away, they tried to make me responsible for her debt to them, a huge £200!!. When i said that im not responsible and id been to a solicitor about it, they acknowledged it but kept on saying i had to pay. They then sent her another bill knowing she had died but put another 120 onto the bill. I rang up yet again and had the same conversation the last few times. I then got a letter saying i had to pay or they would get their Enforcement Team out to it. It was then that i got onto the Ombudsman about it. They didnt do a lot, made me jump through hoops but eventually i stopped getting threatning letters.
Out of all the companys i had to deal with only BG were C***s. Never Again will i use these people.

That sounds awful mate at what must of been a extremely painful time , i cant imagine it. I lost my mum at just 66 a couple of years back, and that was painful enough and still raw now. You take care and try to forget the assholes. On the plus side i found the land registry to be really kind and they had a special line. The only thing that was annoying is they got really anal about on one form i had an extra names, which were me my dads and brothers middle names, and just would not accept it , without me getting them all re signed. It matched the passports !!! If anyone needs to put deeds into your name, as a heads up waiting times for it to be processed are horrific.

Wow, that's awful. My sympathies.
You aren't normally liable for your children's (or parents debt), unless it's a joint account or you agreed to be a guarantor, you'd think that would be obvious to BG

No you’re not and I knew that but as my head was all over I wasn’t 100% so I jumped on Google then had a free half hour with the solicitors.
Worst thing was they had my daughters death certificate yet they carried on and on.

Today has been a perfect example of how quickly oil price changes impact heating oil. Now upto 82p a litre because of what's going on in Iran and the middle east. On a plus note any drops in the price of oil get passed on just as quickly!
