Well the joy was short lived! I took the spare chassis out (still working well) and put back the 1st chassis which had all the work done and after power on it looks like I have screen collapse? just a horizontal line in the middle of the screen, could this be the hot transistor given up?

Thanks Ronnie

Very unlikely. Are you sure the vertical deflection coil is properly connected to the chassis? Maybe a wire became loose or the connector is having a bad soldering.

Good call, stupid me fitted green and red wrong way round on the yoke coil! I must pay more attention could have caused damage but it's working fine.

My 2 boardsets have been repaired and on way back to me, fingers crossed the machine will work for a long time.

Many thanks again for pointing in the right direction

Ronnie
