i always thought Blockbusters was a rip-off so we used to have a bloke who used to have bootlegs in the boot of his car turn up on a Friday night, he came back the next Friday for the tapes and it was a fraction of the price, plus he wasnt bothered what films you picked, so my mum jut used to pay him and i used to stand there pretending i was deciding and then picking the most violent/nudity containing films i could see

Had this on VHS a couple of times - but usually end up selling - despite the awesome cover art, it’s a really bad film. And I like bad films but there’s a limit 😂

My lad told me a few years back (he’s 17 now) it was the film he wanted to see the most because he’d seen the cover in my VHS collection. Of course I let him see it - probably way too young!
Reminded me of when I used to visit the old shops back in the day and look at all the mad covers… wondering what the hell the films would be like.
I would love Peter Jackson to stop dicking around with tech (and more LOTR!) and knock out a low-fi gore-fest again.
He made 2 of the all time classics.
