I have a curious Question

what is the fad about with PROGEAR

I see so many people want it, it fetches a very high sale price and seems to be the most converted CPS-2 game out there

to me personally its just another side scrolling shooter (which a story line I didn't realise was even happening)

I just don't get it that all and wanna know why, I happened to get a PROGEAR myself and I don't get on with it as a game (I much prefer 1942 or sonic wings or ghost pilot)
well guess what no surprises it was a conversion bah... though no big deal. I just re converted it back to its original game.

if anyone can answer why the game is so popular I really am intrigued by it

I think it may be because it's early Cave game and in English.
There seams to be a lot of Cave fans.

I think it's because...it's awesome!!

But seriously, it was Cave's first hori shooter and being a Cave game it does automatically get some recognition...and did I mention that it's awesome

yeah you mentioned its awesome. and that's the part I don't get

ok I understand CAVE now as I read about the company. but me personally I just don't see it as anything but... a side scrolling shooter

as with a lot of cave games its all about that 1c score and learning to chain your attacks which imo gives the game more depth than a standard shmup. If you just fly along mindlessly shooting you'll never get a great score.

yes I have read the guides for this game and high score chains gunner you choose and layout is very important
