Since attending EGX, I'm having a bit of an Out Run week. It took me a couple of evenings but I managed to get Cannonball working with my old Thrustmaster Challenge wheel and pedals. I'm determined to learn all the stages.

I moved my cab downstairs on Sunday, lifting that monitor down flight of stairs was a terrible experience - never again.

Getting it back into the cab was ok this time as my wife helped. She is really strong, and was taking so much of the weight I was convinced it was falling out of my hands into the cab..

Anyway, no more cabs upstairs ever. I celebrated with some Alien vs Predator and Xmen vs Street Fighter and a packet of crisps :)IMG_4838.jpeg

Little known fact, Dutch from AvP lost his arm lifting arcade cabinets and monitors

My game(s) of the week are :-

Daytona USA & Ace Driver !!!!

I don't remember Ace Driver but do remember Daytona (Who doesn't ?) I was a little more interested in females at that time !! But I have been setting up / testing my driving can and I can say these 2 games are excellent , So playable and a shed load of fun.

Dave.

Not just yet. Will probably need some help with the pc spec and set up. Got some spare bits lying around.

Sadly I have lots of experience there ! lol. Mine broke yesterday but fixed again. A-Pac is a bit of a set up and I need to my gears out (Mine has the up/down only) yours should be easy and just straight switches. Dead easy to set up if you just want Daytona , Bit more awkward if not. PM me when you need help, No worries there.

Dave.

Daytona DLX with the pneumatic seat (and FFB) elevates the game to another level.

Ace Driver seems a lot more basic. I've stared at that one a while trying (but not yet succeeding) to emulate the multiplayer.
Typically good Namco ravey music though.

Flying Shark... Its amazing how I still get a 'buzz' out of this one like I did when I played it at the east coast!..
& proves you don't have to spend silly money on a Cave pcb to get a great stg fix!.
