I have now finally stripped down all the parts from my old Daytona Twin (wooden sided) and have been left with two top boxes.

So the original with the Sega authentic label is in reasonable condition but more scratched than the newer one which has the word classic on it, they are both different sizes one slightly shorter than the other but both look and fit ok to the plastic sided Daytona.

I could cut the larger one down to fit the better of the two housings etc.

Which one would you keep as the other needs to go?

I cannot make my mind up, will try and get some pics up.

What are your guys thoughts?

Isn't the Classic one the one that is for the later Daytona with the plastic sides? That's what I was always led to believe.

I've been pondering the same question

Although I will be keeping both, the correct one will be fitted to the cab and the other will be for display only

Hmmmmm!

Yes the classic is the correct on for the later Daytona but I think (maybe perhaps i dunno) I prefer the original.

OMG decisions decisions can't make up my bloody mind.

Think I'd go for the 'Classic' version as it's a bit rarer and I prefer the plastic sided version of this cab (which it was originally fitted to).

Also, Daytona USA is indeed a classic, no doubt

I had an interesting discovery at the weekend.. doesn't look like I will have the choice..

Got out both my toppers and neither of them are the "classic" marquee but 1 is about 4 inches longer than the other so at some point the Plastic side cabs did have the standard marquee topper fitted and not the classic one.

Guess I am now going to have to find a classic one to complete the collection now
