My guess is that the cost to renew the lease for the Stourbridge store was uneconomical and is probably the real reason for the store closure, and not actually due to a decline in retro gaming.

It read to me that the shopping centre manger’s comments were based on his own opinions, rather than any information given by CEX, he even admitted the store was still popular.

It would have been nice to get the info from CEX on the closure and the dope that wrote it didn't even include Kidderminster shop

Retro is still king in my world !
We are knee deep in vinyl in my house, wife and I have a shared dozen shelves and then I have my own collection. Owned every version of Technic’s 1200/1210 over the last 20 years - except MK4. Elegant with incredible build quality Iconic pieces of design , I would have a turntable in every room. Favourite ever owned MK5G Gold.

Regret not buying some Mk5 Gold ones years back, got a Mk2 that was cheap, wish I hadn't sold the Sony PS-X7 I had boxed too

Got quite a big pile of Vinyl to sort through, some of my original albums from the 80s and loads of 70's 80's 90's stuff I saved from the tip, there used to be 1000s of records down there every month or so, too much to look really but mostly was all ya old Nan's type stuff, never found a single Streets Sounds Electro or much Rap stuff but just grabbed anything from my eras, you'd really have to know ya stuff to pick out any valuable stuff

Think you actually own all those movies you’ve been buying digitally? Think again

Regardless of whether the lawsuit is ultimately successful, it speaks to a real problem in an age when people access films, television series, music and video games through fickle online platforms: impermanence. The advent of streaming promised a world of digital riches in which we could access libraries of our favourite content whenever we wanted. It hasn’t exactly worked out that way.

What about the Digital Copies with DVD/Blurays, can you even use or access that stuff anymore? Ultraviolet shutdown but not sure if people can access the digital copies they had on it
This and other market factors have led to the decision to discontinue UltraViolet.” After July 31, UltraViolet users will still be able to access the movies and TV shows in their UltraViolet library, provided they have connected that library to one of UltraViolet's supported retailers before the shutdown.4 Feb 2019

People used to sell the Digital Codes on ebay, ebay should have faced legal issues allowing that, specially when it said you couldn't sell anything Digital Delivered and many just emailed the code

Don't know why anyone would rely on big tech Corporations keeping your data, or pay for something they don't have a physical copy of, just asking for trouble down the line
It's never been easier and cheaper to keep multiple copies of all your data and if mates have copy off all ya digital movies and music you'd be extremely unlucky for it to all be lost
