Hi all i have been playing my defender on and off for about 5 years and my highest score is about 600000(six hundred thousand) with i think white roms, changed to reds and it got harder , i was scoring 400000 at most,i recently sent a green rom board to be repaired( by arcadia ) well, when it returned it would power up but there was no function on the control panel and 2 lights stayed on, on the rom board, after speaking to Neil (Arcader) i changed the wigget board and hay presto a fully working green rom board (although i still had two lights on, the board) but upon playig it i was totally shocked at how difficult it was to play ,now at best im scoring a shameful 100000 on average so i will have to up my game , i was wondering has any one played with blue roms? and is it as hard as the green?

There are some differences in the way the difficulty settings operate across the ROM versions. The difficulty setting has a huge affect on the scores I can get. I can clock Defender on its easiest settings, but it prefer to play Red label ROMs set at factory default settings - best score on that is about 250k.
