I am working on my Nintendo Plywood cab. The cab is thinner than most and is light because it is plywood. Because of this, I have always felt that it is a poorly made cab.

But if you look online everyone will say how much better they are than the particle board versions. I have always looked at the big arse MDF cabs as the ones that will last out when the bombs drop (cab slips off the sack truck). I always feel they are better made and a safe bet to last. But it seems I am wrong.

Are there any cabs that people know of that are notorious as being a mess or ones that are a dream to restore?

I prefer the Candy Cabs, Metal or Plastic, but for Wood cabs Ply is at least wood! where as MDF is just compressed dust, I'd say Ply is the better option, MDF just falls apart and soaks up moisture etc
