Just interested to know which TV ads are ingrained in your head from the good old days.

I did a quick search to see if this had been covered before and didn't find anything.

Back then, the TV ads were better that a lot of the programmes.

I'm not sure this will take off but it's worth a try. Wake up you lot!

Here are a few, there are loads more but it's a decent start.

Here is one for Oliver M... it's a pretty catchy jingle you can't deny that!

One for the road!

I instantly thought of the Hamlet Cigars adverts which has already been mentioned, however here’s a few more that stick in my mind from the 80’s:-
The British Gas share sale “If you see Sid, tell him”
Toshiba, Hello Tosh.
Yellow Pages, HR Hartley

Surely the government safety adverts have got to be right up there.

I certainly never climbed into an electricity sub station to recover my lost frisbee; always listened to my cat tell me about the dangers of strangers; and only ever crossed the road when Darth Vader told me it was safe.....

Ok, possibly the opposite of 'favourite' as a kid, but with that and the AIDS adverts, they knew how to induce nightmares in kids, whether they intended to or not.

Nice one guys.

The Hamlet ads were superb, my old man used to smoke the odd Hamlet at Christmas, he enjoyed those ads also.
Neil - Wasn't the Cat called Charlie? I'd forgotten about the government safety ads! Scary!
