What’s your opinions and memories of this game ,in arcade home computer or other .
Was it around long in the U.K. arcades long .if much at all ?
I remember seeing it in USA a lot when I was a kid .my memory isn’t what it was ,but I’m trying to recall if I ever saw it in Northern Ireland. Which I’m not sure I did
I’m also wondering did I ever see it in Blackpool arcades .i really can’t remember seeing it there ,but can remember the exactly positions in each arcade of most cabs. Like alien syndrome, space harrier deluxe ,hang on deluxe ,dragons lair ,toobin etc
Why can I not remember 720 I wonder

Anyway in my book it’s one of the coolest games ever in the arcade .
Is there any point in picking those single dollar bills up ?
I played it a lot on the spectrum when it came out .with the tape playing the music
I dreamt of owning the cab for years .was gonna swap my fish tales pinballl at one point for one .it didn’t happen .Then I missed one on eBay .
I finally got an Italian version ,which I’ve never saw another .
It’s a hard game. But I just don’t remember anything like it .the cab is so cool . The gameplay is incredible for the time .
I sometimes think if they made a sequel, where could they have went with it ?
Is there any good players of the game on here ? Any tips ?

I remember playing it on C64 and also playing the music on the other side :)
I finally saw the real thing in a bowling ally, but I thought the joystick was broken as it wouldn't return to the centre, so I never tried it!!
The ghetto blaster on the top was very cool though :)

The joystick was before its time really . Like a lot of Atari arcade stuff .imo ..
Playing with the quickshot 2 had us spoilt
It was also too expensive and short game play time to get good at
The ghetto blaster was sublime

I never saw one back in the day and was only aware of it's existence from reading Ace magazine. I had a cover tape from one of the magazines with Outrun music on one side and 720 on the other.

For the youngsters !, magazines were what we had before the internet ;).

each to their own. i suppose i wouldn’t say it’s an awful game .but I do get that people don’t like it and respect that opinion.
For me it’s superb ,the cabinet design ,the freedom to go where you want ,the speakers in the game with the sound getting louder the closer you go to them on screen
The way the skate parks get more difficult ,the variety of game play .the unique controls .buying new boards and kit
I may be biased as I love most things arcade from the day

I am lucky enough to have a cab but try as I might I just cant fall in love with the game which is annoying as I love the design of the cab, the controls and the music but the game just doesn't click with me.

I probably just need to give it an hour or so of constant play and get a grip of it as it is so hard on some levels like the half pipe i lose interest.

I remember the downhill parks as one of the challenges on the tv show FIRST CLASS and I was hyped to play it. An arcade in the next town over had it and it was very popular but when i finally got my chance to play it, tbh I didn't really like the gameplay much outside of the downhill parks.

It's an impressive looking cab with nice graphics, but not one that excites me in any way enough to want one.

I was bidding on yours at the time I think . Just wasn’t a good time for me
It’s a class game when you have your own cab to learn how to play it

Just looked back at the thread from 2018 when I bought it, it was on Ebay and I paid £1 a degree for it 😆

Cant remember where It came from apart from it was a fair old journey but I remember it was at the back of a transport warehouse on a pallet and had been there long time, this was the cab that sent me on a quest for DEC T-11 processors as mine was dead.

That's a good point about seeing it in the Blackpool arcades. I just tilted my head and stared at the ceiling for a couple of minutes and I actially can't remember there being one which seems crazy, they must have had one but like you I can remember most of the big games and where they were but can't remember 720. The Toobin and Space Harrier I remember were in Coral island and they were both incredibly loud!

I do remember playing 720° in St Ives though, it was the arcade at the front and a skater dressed like someone from the game skated into the arcade right up to the cab and started playing. It's fair to say I was very impressed. Great game but I'm poo at it

Was the cab just hyped by computer mags ?as in we thought it was everywhere .. I can’t remember it anywhere this side of the pond .like portrush or Newcastle County Down .
over here I can also pinpoint where cabs like enduro racer deluxe .afterburner deluxe ,even rampage and salamander sat .i just can’t recall 720 in these places .

It cant have been the cheapest of cabs, took up a big foot print and hard to put in a line up and ( I could be wrong as I was a BMX boy but ) was skate boarding as big a thing over here as it was in the U.S?

Skate boarding wasn’t anywhere close in uk to what it was In the USA .
BMX for me too ,maybe a bit of skateboarding .but I remember being in the USA 85 and 86 ,all the shopping centres had skateboarding shops .where you picked each part separately, and had it put together ..there wasn’t much of that in the U.K. then
