Stacks of what are (essentially) early model Wharfedale Diamond speakers (great little speakers in their day - which was about the same vintage as many of the cabs).

If I didn't already have speakers bursting out of every room, I'd have made the OP an offer

Some one actually noticed well spotted Ade,i too was tempted for the games room Jukebox

Well these are so much better (a couple of models back, from the present, but probably the best "Diamonds" to date)... Still four Diamond 1's (as they are - sort of - IIRC the green terminals are for connecting to 100v equipment, the red & black for normal use) for a few quid would be almost as good.

Great pics added there guys. I was going to make a joke about Olly's Guns, but enough jokes were already made

.

So much sound equipment too? Quite the treasure trove. Does anyone know what that Organ is in the pic below? I don't think it's anything special, but if anyone happened to (or is able to) find out the model name/number?

Crazy pics, how in gods name did they pack all this stuff in there! and did they ever expect to remove any of it!! Just piles and piles of goodness, its great to see how good looking most of the cabs are, don't forget all that snow and bad weather we had since the original photos too! so really is fab things are going out working. You certainly struck gold there guys.

Great thread but a bit of negativity! Loving the pics but why oh why was it such a mess? If I owned this stuff I would feel guilty about the state it was left in........but on the flipside as a buyer I would be embarrassed about the money people are willing to pay for things kept in such a poor conditions. I got the impression that the op was hard work regarding negotiations also.

Anyhow, saving these cabs is immense and a good effort by all involved.

Lol operators are always hard work to deal with, there illusions of unrealistic prices is normal.

Collectors will always pay what an item is worth to them - ironically other collectors will think they are nuts.

Sometimes that aspect is more interesting - I actually enjoy hunting out items I want, than playing (due to having no spare time in the real world).

This is all standard stuff with some Operators dude!

Prices start high, they notice you buy a few things - you start making friends, the cabs then get cheaper, even cheaper still.

By the end of the day fault/untested pcbs were £5 each, and I think we paid an average of £235 a cab - which is great as nearly all the games will clean up great. We even got a few freebie parts.

The monitors were £10-30 each too.

We inspected the PCB. Original Taito Bubble Bobble pcb - result!

V. happy for you to have the pcb. Shame we didn't find a second (I'd have called dibs on that one

).

More importantly... Did the board work when you got it home?

The monitor turned out to be none too healthy (nice fizzle-pop sound on power-up).
I shall try to convince Snowy to give it a while (may be something simple, but I'm still very wary of CRTs) before he does something daft (like Maming it up and sticking an LCD in there)!!!

I haven't tested it yet! It's in my car still. I will test it at the weekend as I have a JAMMA adapter for Bubble Bobble. I'll also clean the pcb up.
