OK, so here we go. Nemesis UK (World) patched to Gradius.

Things that have been done :-

1) replace Nemesis title logo tiles with Gradius title logo tiles

2) replace MULTIPLE tiles with OPTION tiles

3) remove title screen background graphic

4) remove delay before background graphic fade out and Gradius logo appearing

5) patch up rom checksums

Please don't even think about attempting to sell a 'converted' Nemesis board as a Gradius board for £xxxx


Use the bspatch utility to patch the 5 roms that need patching.

That's a good point, we can't expect Ade to work on it anymore (I can't believe he took it on and smashed it in the first place!!), but maybe in the future the text for testing the bootup roms/rams could be changed to make it clear it's a hack.

yeah I am also very impressed that he even just took a hit at making it.. man I envy you skilled ppl.. I mean, you just:

"ok, cool, let me take a look at it".......0101100101010 HIGH LOW mumble mumble breakpoint mumble new title screen 101110000101010 *while making the konamicode with the kneecaps* hex bin flex blipp blopp mame + code.......and PRESTO its done!...

Just like that... thats awesome! I wish I had your skills man.. :D

I'm pretty sure you'll probably have some kind of skill that I wish I had (unless that skill involves gutting fish or any kind of culinary expertise!) so the fact that I can do what I do with code is just another skill amongst the thousands of amazing different skills that the human race can master with lots of practice.

For what's it's worth I absolutely suck at playing Nemesis/Gradius and the only way I'll ever see the ending of a game like this is by turning on cheats. So game playing definitely ISN'T one of my skills!

The packages are at the store, waiting for me to pick em up!!! I am still at work for about 2 more hours thou ;(((((.. Man I am sooo curious, and a little nervous about this one.. I really really hope this was a good deal.. but deals that seems to good to be true, usually are.......................................... BUT the second package I am getting today is a minty fresh Yie ar Kung-Fu board! althou if the gradius deal for some reason is a fail then I doubt yieha kung feuu can save the day.. man I really should have asked for pics.. haha.. that would have saved me all this nervosity, and a bunch of cash too!

Aint gonna watch it but Ill be happy if I clear ever :). I really dont like coining throu games.. Id rather practice on that 1 coin and see how far I can get!
