Yeah, I understand that. But can't see why the voltage drops if you're finding 10.3 on the harness plug that supplies 10.3 to the AR2, as there isn't really anywhere for the AR2 to drop a volt. For what it's worth (not much, probably) the 10.3 is an unregulated DC voltage, and more often than not those MC power bricks kick out something closer to 12 unregulated DC volts. Which is fine, because the AR board jus ranws what it needs from the unregulated DC supply. The 10.3 doesn't come directly off the transformer. It's an AC voltage thats smoothed and rectified by the big blue cap, and the rectifier board that the big blue sits on. You could replace the big blue without an iron. It just screws on and off. Might / might not be worth replacing the big blue when you swap in a new AR2.

BTW, the art on that cab looks to be in terrific shape. Lovely looking machine.

ok, but there´s nothing with the currant (10.28) so the Big Blue does it´s job....
But as you say, it´s odd that it drops a volt once it goes into the ARII..

I have been in contact with muerto, I'm just naff at typing and fed up getting an access denied message after I have spent 5 minutes typing stuff out. I have also put it on hold for him until its decided whether he wants the stuff. I'm not posting much anywhere at the moment, some dafty spilt lager on 2 laptops, so its only my phone just now. That aside life is sh*t at the moment and all I want to do is sleep and forget about life. Up for sale in November will be my core of cabs and pinballs, either that or a big story about my stalker.

, although there's no real precedent for cabs being assigned a gender. If the cab was a PoS I'd probably refer to it as "it" but given that it's so nice it seemed more appropriate to assign it a gender rather than a neuter.

Why don't you guys just look at the value of the pot (better still if you can find the schematics) and then try and get a replacement from farnell or a local supplier? I guess ideally you need to know the power rating and linear/log but frankly I usually just rob them off old dead chassis or tvs. Alternatively people like chad at aracdecup sell quite a few bits but it's somewhat excessive importing stuff like that from the US.

Looking at the track layout there, only one side of the pot is used. If you can't get a 5K locally, a 4.7K will do, which is a far more common value.

But they wont work, because the legs are in line, and i need the middle leg to be slightly in front of the to others:

After some sanding...

And on the machine.... only painted the lower half black, and applied lacker on the top half... all the spots is "rust" in the metal, i cant sand it..

Maby ill pay the $250 for the new CP....
