monitor swap for k7000: 2 dag wires on donor CRT?

Evening guys

finally got round to swapping out the burned monitor in my super hang on k7000 /19" philips ,with a 20" orion TV CRT using an adapter from aussie arcade , measurements seem ok (3.2ohm/ 9.6ohm)j.. thing is i have 2 dag wires on the orion chassis, black one is connected to both sides of the monitor, smaller spade connector just the right side (viewed from the back)

few questions:

should i wire all if them up to dag ground on the neck board, or just the space connector, and can anyone tell me why theres 3 connections needed on different parts of the dag wire ; is it for lower impedance to ground at different points?

with it being a 20" would i have to replace the width cap, or is it such a small difference the adjusters can handle in?

and any other advice i can get! ... this is my first monitor swap, so hit me with as much info as possible, i have not powered it on yet..

cheers for that grant youre a star mate , going to power it up tonight and see how it goes, pic when it was on the telly through scart was excellent, so hoping for the same with the k7000

powers up ok, but horizontal wires were backwards, and screen was very blue, mesed with the neck pots to no avail, then i found one of the flyback wires had come loose on the neckboard, resoldered it,but the screens still blue.. is this a blue to heater short? checking around with the neck adapter on i show lots of shorts, but on the actual CRT pins none? ... im totally stuck.

i do have a spare k7000 chassis, but am i running the risk of toasting it using it to test?

desolder the blue gun pin on the crt socket
how do you know that adapter is any good?

the reason you are using the adapter is because you are going from a 7 pin to 10 pin crt or vice versa?

Cheers Grant, was a bit difficult to reach the pins on the beckboard so desoldered pin 2 on the adapter, which should be blue on the cr 23 tube, but screen is still blue..

Could I cut the blue colour wire going to the neckboard instead?

turns out the the cr23 pinouts are conflicting, one says pin two, other says 11 (viewed from the back of the tube

desoldered the blue pin on the changer, pin seems detached and not touching the pcb when i shine a light through, but its still blue

It's easier to work on the K7000 neckboard. Lift either side of R212. That way you'll be 100% sure the blue signal will not arrive at the CRT pin.

Even went to far as to desolder neckboard r212 on the blue line as the pins for the socket are more like spades, coil dnt get them to break contact properly, still blue!

Cheers MKL was just doing that 😁, I'm wondering if having the other flyback wire disconnected has screwed the flyback, I read online some symilar symptoms (unajustable blue tinge, weird thick lines through image moving to the far, edges of screen)
