My final Donkey Kong resto'

Hey Tony, thank you sir.

P38 is all I've ever used and will ever use. It can shrink slightly but I'm using a finishing stopper this time which is a very fine premixed filler/putty in a tube that doesn't shrink and also doesn't leave those tiny holes that fillers do.

I find P38 very easy to shape to get perfect edges and sanding is a breeze (being called easy sand holds true) A chippy mate recommended it, it's all he has ever used and been a carpenter for over 40 years.

Good to see the base is solid Al
I have to say I've never had a bad base on any of mine except sheriff which is completely missing, but because of the pure weight of it I've left the four wheels on for now but the plan is to build a new one for it.
Great up date

Managed to escape to the Garage for a couple of hours this afty.

All a bit of a yawn to be honest, all about filling and feathering in.

Was in Town this morning so did some shopping

Then sanded all of what I'd done Monday

More filler (yawnz!)

More sanding (yawnz!)

Mr Maclean

Base

Base sanded (not quite finished) minor repair which wasn't necessary. I really must take those damned wheels off!

Back of cab

The first side is virtually to a point where it's ready to prime so filled one final time with the finishing putty. Will then feather it in hopefully in the morning then sort out the other side/front coin door panel and finish the back.

.

I don't care what anyone else says, there's not much that beats a nice restoration.

Rich, I'm happy with the results I get from rattle cans. Galaxian to do yet, limited spraying which is cool!

No point using staples as the panels are glued and screwed anyhow, overkill!

P38 is great stuff, unless you do the work in your conservatory, in which case it will stink out your house until you move.
How does this buyers "line" work? If I "dispose" of the others "Ray Donovan" style, does that put me at the top of the list?
