'You really should bring a couple more cabs into the house to free up some space in the garage'; not something you hear very often from the wife! Been told to turn the downstairs playroom into an arcade / office / repairs room too; woe is me! It's my birthday in about a weeks time... not sure I can justify another cab (well not this year anyway

!!)

Be afraid, very afraid. She's after something.

Thats great guys, so yet another random talk about old arcade games as you do

and it saves another load of machines from getting buried

Great to see a Thunderblade still hiding in the UK, I'd of had that if I hadn't got one already, shame about the perspex though, there nearly always broken, mine is complete but cracked

Nice find. Good job rescuing them all - glad you took the fruits too (had a nasty feeling when I saw the first pic the Monte Carlo was destined for the bonfire - will give it a good home if it needs one)

Big thanks to @scruffyHerrbert for making the long journey down to pickup and liberate the fruites from this raid

With a little bit of planning both of them fitted in his estate making great use of the hatched window in the back of his boot.

I wonder if classic fruties will be the next big thing for collectors?
Some time ago when I was collecting just about every rom on every emulator I also got the fruit machine ones - love playing a bit of crystal maze, spice is right or any capp :)

Well done Phil for an all round successful raid of goodness!

Wasn't the ideal transport or journey back - started noticing funny smells not long after leaving yours Phill - was hoping it was the cabs but they had the usual (and if i'm honest pleasant
smiley16.gif
) musty aroma that only old games can achieve with time and a bit of neglect and what I was getting over that was more of a burning smell ... next smoke appeared (inside car), oh and they had closed M25 J24/25 so traffic was queuing back to J27 by the time I got up there - ended up pulling over (and switching engine off quick) on the hard shoulder of the M11 when the funny smell and smoke reappeared - couldn't work out where it was coming from or what was wrong. Managed to get up to Cambridge/Huntingdon and back on the A1M up to Peterborough without too much more drama, just taking it easy at 50-60, then about 15miles from home on the A16 the problems started - EML etc warning lights on dash, loss of power, stalling at low revs - finally got back at 20.15, narrowly missing having to resort to roadside recovery - guess it makes up for the good run down!

Anyway, nice to meet you and see your other cabs - could of happily spent longer checking out the collection but there was a dog waiting in the dark for his dinner as it was.

So, 2 more games and a car to sort - never enough hours in the day.

Channel27 came and took the T2 this morning. He then went on to B&Q to make the most of the van hire

Hope you really enjoy it mate. The chassis is already booked in for a repair with Gunblade!
