Its a great adventure that James and Andy are gonna be going on and I really hope you guys make a great success of it,the whole of the arcade community is behind you and to hopefully make it a 'central hub' for all things arcade related within the UK would be something very special...

Really looking forward to the grand opening of your new arcade this coming May

So that's where all U72's cabs are going!

Congratulations on what is a very exciting development. This can only be a good thing for the whole community. I think it's secretly what every collector dreams of; a real arcade with all the atmosphere, fun and friendships that come with it. Right now I cannot think of a better variety of classic cabs in such a huge venue; there's so much potential here and I really wish you the best of luck

Late to "the party" but was aware for a while now - congrats to James and u72 on their endeavour and as I've said to them they have my utmost wish its successful and, perhaps, now is the right time for the community and forum(s) to come together as make this succeed where mine and others have passed away: all I know is these boys are doing their utmost and everyone should attempt to support it: after all - despite everything - it takes a community to sustain this kind of venue and if we don't pull together to help it'll always be in uncharted and unsteady waters.

FWIW, I've already said to James that my collection of cabs from my "RKD" era are his to display, use and to hopefully enrich their line-up and keep everyone considering it the UK's Arcade Mecca (u-KAM sounds good ;)

Lookin' forward to May anyway (and pushing it real big at the Slam of course!) - keep it up guys!

You couldn't have said it any better rav
Everyone has to support this as they have worked so hard and put a lot of money in .
And it's all for the community
We need to stick together and help out where we can
It's fantastic news

This is what the UK classic arcade community has been begging for since the arcades vanished.
One thing's for sure, you can count on me for continued support.

Edit - Forgot to add, namewise, The Timewarp Arcade.

That way, after you've been once, we can say "let's do the timewarp again'

Huge thank you for joining us on the Q&A tonight, for those who didn't make it or just want to go back over it again, here's the link direct to the final piece.

https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/109448361801349773398/events/ccdupa3f5o80ag0vk561um0oolo

I can't embed this as its not actually a youtube video, i've decided not to do any editing as it would remove the Q&A list down the side which you should all have been able to see.

I looked back briefly and realised some of the questions hadn't been answered, this isn't deliberate, we were scrolling quite quickly and having to go off memory a little. I'll put a post up on the website after i've reviewed all of it and answer them individually.

Both Andy and myself are overwhelmed at the positive support so far and hope this continues.

One question we did get asked was "What can the community do to help support this" - I answered it in the discussion but i'll post the answer again here - simply help spread the word. If you have facebook, share the post on your wall, if you have twitter, retweet the post from earlier with the link to the announcement page. Its the simplest bit of non-cost help you can do for us.

Great Q&A session, fellas.

One more question: Are there any ciders or beers left in your fridge after that?

Seriously, this is going to be a fantastic (ad)venture.

Unfortunately I missed the Q&A last night and have already contacted James to apologise for that. I had 120 miles to drive last night to pick up a new cab. This morning I have watched a good chunk of the video, and what immediately jumps out at me is that James and Andy seem to get on really well, are clearly already great friends as well as business partners, and are obviously both singing from the same hymn sheet. I have no doubt in my mind that this will be a long and successful partnership. This is just brilliant for everyone.
I always like to use Airplane! quotes whenever I can, and on Saturday night, watching the live announcement, I had to ask the guy standing next to me to pinch me to make sure I wasn't dreaming :)

I like Jon's idea for the hyper arcade (that's what I'm calling it for now)

I'll be donating a bunch of spares when I clear out my overflowing loft soon.

Enjoyed the Q&A last night
And to follow on from the question I asked
Which was can we do a kong off if I organise it .
Sure
I could bring my dk up and I can donate my cocktail that I am currently restoring but I think will need more than two.
So if anyone else wants to help out with a pcb or cab that would be great

Nice idea Alex.

Hopefully it could be a base for live verified uk scores.

That was something that was discussed last night and is being thought about... it will be great for the UK Arcade Community if it does happen.

Maybe a tie-in with Guinness UK.
