I picked this wee chappy up last night
Had been trying to buy it for a while from the arcade owner
He rang out of the blue a few weeks ago
Just about the time my supersprint arrived
He bought it brand new all them years ago
And is in superb condition ,although board isn't working.
My games room is to crammed to get into now ,so haven't even room to clean it or
Look inside .lucky iv a nice shed arriving tues
I got a few other things and the best luck penny I've ever had
God bless good ,non greedy operators

Cheers guys ,I'm delighted with it
There's not even a cigarette burn on it
He also gave me the xenon behind it for nothing and
A load of parts to keep it going ,there's also a neo geo mobo
In it with puzzle bobble .
He gave me a monitor which I'm hoping will
Do my chase hq
And luck penny also ,of a box of neo geo games ,and mobos
Oh and a few manuals ,the pole position one is like brand new !
I bought another cab off him too .
A nice wee mini raid I suppose :)

Cheers again guys
With that being an Atari cab ,would it be 100%
That it's an Atari board in it ,it obviously has the namco bit on the side .ive no key to the back of it
So haven't got a look yet
Also are those monitors different than your usual ?

They were a mix of either the Namco or Atari PCB. The harness differs based on what PCB they had in stock at the time. Personally I prefer the Namco PCB.

Get the pcb out and have a look, mine had pretty bad battery damage, that's what kills these boards.
Retroclinic can get it looking like new again, or there is a working pcb for sale on here.

All the UK ones I've seen of this cab had Namco boards in. If you can see a chuffing great big heatsink on the PCB and it has 2 3 pin connectors then it's a Namco board.

Excellent .il get a look at it later
The one on here forsale is a namco ,so it's a possibility if not sold
Il maybe send it to retroclinic if edge connector isn't
Damaged beyond repair
Il get a look at that video ,but to be honest would rather leave it to the experts .
There's four tracks in pole 2 as opposed to one in original
Better detail in explosions and slightly different car colours
That's the main differences I know of
I'm sure someone will know more
