It’s amazing seeing these cabs .Sadly decimalisation in 1971 saw the demise of any surviving ones… 1d went practically by slot size conversion to 2p around (5d value) five times the cost to play. Quite noticeable at the time!

New coins was the death of a lot great mid century Arcadia novelties and popular arm pull bandits too! Screen printed win award prize values were not easy to alter or replace on the translucent glass windows.
I was just saying a while ago how the excitement reduced on my Tooty Fruity on 1p a tiny coin we now use but the big 1d Brittania penny could be tactfully entered with a spin left or right with a thumb to steer it round the spring pins slightly in the drop zone . They were more popular in the 60s pre decimal.
