What did you do chaps, just use compressed air?

And a good quality, fine bristled, small 1/2 brush buddy and compressed air

the key you would need looks just like a normal barrel type key but it would have "change" stamped into it (only the boss had this key)

the locks have numbers on them and you get keys with a number stamped in them
you put the change key in the lock and turn it to the number key you want to set the lock to, the lock then is set to that number key

as least that's how they worked in the arcade i worked in

good job on the chassis by the way, what are peoples thoughts on washing a monitor chassis, if left to dry out long enough do you think it would be ok?

i don't mean emersing it in water but maybe washing over with a soapy paint brush then washed off with clean water and dried

Unfixable? What's that word mean?

If the board is really bad I use anti static foam cleaner on it, the dirt runs off! then another lot with a brush to get it nice and clean or until clean, then a airline on it to push off any remaining foam cleaner, then either a hair dryer on it or leave it out in the sun to dry. I find its a lot better than water and is more inert than water.

I usually only do it to monitor boards I really want to hang on to!

So, progress has slowed down a bit this week as I wait for things to arrive and work my cock off in real life, I do have the CP ready to go though:

I need to get in about the Blast City one of these days, the monitor chassis is super-manky, and it has the dreaded black goop collecting at the bottom of the chassis mount. I say dreaded, since reading about it on t'internet, some people freak out about it, some don't care

but the general consensus was if it ain't broke..

I've really enjoyed taking it to bits mate. If I had the old time/space I'd have stripped it down to the individual parts to learn how it all went together.
The kids are away with my parents this weekend so I'm hoping to get stuck into it on Saturday afternoon
