How About this Arcadia Electrocoin Sente Competition in C&VG Issue 70

Or the Xevious Cab in Issue 63 that ended up around Preston Lancashire

[DaveR]

I didn't know about that, but where is it ? Neil did videos on the Arcadia cab that I had but it was not in a Sentie. The Living Daylights (one of my fav bond film) . I wonder what happened and if the game did reach the arcadia A500 system. I ask Neil

Very interesting thanks for sharing Dave. This post led me to a GTW thread and some interesting info on it here https://www.gamesthatwerent.com/2021/02/the-living-daylights/

interesting stuff, perhaps Richard Naylor might be the person to talk to, or even talks with event (on live video from usa?)

I entered this comp and got a poster. Not the one pictured, it was a relief of the official character art. Perished on my bedroom wall.

Street Fighter 2 on a Neo Geo? Ryu with little shoes on? For shame, CVG!

Now you mention this I've only just noticed how wonky the screen is on that mockup. The cab is angled but the screenshot is straight on, slightly tilted.

I wonder what cab the winner actually got. Guessing not a Big Red.

Do i remember seeing a Outrun upright cab competition in one of the mags! Maybe a C+VG or Mean Machine!

I remember a month or so ago when I posted a number of these in another thread, not competitions directly to do with the magazine but phone in competitions. Wonder how many people actually won the cabs shown? A couple of examples:

[tb2000]

Yeah that issue is from 1992 so seems the ad was in a number of different computer mags all about the same time back then!
