Nice I was waching this but was nit convinced it was a taito as it looks nothing like the internals of any other table I have seen.

Great table!

Cheers, yup it's a bit of a mystery still... as Alpha1 has said it looks like a Taito made board but other than that there are no big clues.

I am really enjoying the table now though and well happy with it... the game plays great and i just need to decide when to dismantle the whole thing to get all the shot blasting and respraying done... and then try to piece it back together again!

The control panels look to be from a Nintendo cab for sure, never seen them on a wooden cab,I don't think it's taito either, nice find all the same

Hi,

The control panel is wider and taller than the one on my Space Fever cocktail; so if all the Nintendo Cocktails had the same control panel housing then these can't be taken from one.

Do you know if they came in varied sizes on the Nintendo cocktails?

I'm not sure to be honest I have a firebird here but maybe they used bigger panels for games that had more controls? Alex will know as he has them all.

not sure who made the cab back in the day but it's definitely a bootleg in my opinion, or possibly a proto type??

even though a boot its an extremely nice piece of history

Whatever this may or may not be, what it is, is a great game that just can't be experienced properly on mame with out the unique controls.

Love it.

If you look at my firebird panel the bolt holes look to be in the same place?

Hey Ronnie. I spoke to Alex and he said all the Ninty cocktail panels and housings are the same size so don't think mine could have come from one... it's the same shape and has the screws in same places but it's like it's been scaled up 15-20%

Not sure if it's any use to you, but some of the pinball forums have good information on touching up back glass. I did a (slightly bad) job of this on my OutRun restore... but it came out looking quite nice. If it's illuminated it gets a lot tougher though.

Cheers, I'll take a look at that.

There's no backlighting so I can get away with a lot I guess! I'll just do one corner and see how it looks before doing everything.

These look just like nintendo buttons to me, look just the same as type as my space firebird, just like pic above. Anyway you can get the screw in parts from here.
Have fun!

Nice one, will probably go for those and see how they fit/look.

I guess it's likely the originals were white but you know... prove it :-D

Here's a pic to support from a Ninty Space Firebird.

Would it be possible for you to take-off high rés. close up pictures of the Control panel plates and stickers?
Once I get a proper donor cab I'll make it into a Sheriff with the pcb I have...
So i'll need to repro / have vectorized all the artwork.
Your help would be much appréciated
