Nice! The Japanese cases are so much better than the chunky Blue cases that we got over here.
Yeah :) I always coveted the Japanese versions when I was young, the artwork in the Mega Drive and Super Famicom era just blew me away. Nothing has changed I guess. Also those blue DC cases would break if you sneezed loudly.

Is that Steve66b or something on ebay?
Yeah that's him. I stopped using eBay a long time ago - almost everything I buy now is direct from Japan via Facebook.

I assume buying and selling is his full time job, i've used his store for about 10 years or so. The service is always very good, prices include shipping, everything is well packaged and arrives quickly. I get nothing out of recommending Steve, but he is my main source of retro games . He tends to go out and buy whatever interests him, which is cool as you often find interesting games up for sale.

There is another seller, who has a store called Raw Retro. He has the advantage of taking requests for very specific games and delivering on them. However I find buying from him a bit of double edged sword, you need to be online at the right time for him to check condition, he charges commission on top (which he makes visible) plus fees for Paypal and shipping. Also the process is a bit of a faff.

Both are good sellers, honest and reliable. They have some kind of feud / rivalry going on as well.

New Repo Part Arrived

The long awaited Major Havoc roller control arrived.
Seems to be in a bit of a state. Rolling is very crunchy.

Time to take it apart to see about repoing this.

Looking to provide new rollers and bearings initially, but also hope to produce the full item as well.

Anyone interested in different colours?

Clear with a controllable rgb Led behind might work well for colour choice as long as it doesn't interfere with the interface

Dam thing gets in the way of the screen but no way out of that if you want to look straight forward and look , I has the screen on the left and fount it awkward. If it was a normal work bench I would drill a hole and stick it in there.

Hopefully help me out , My old one was great but too small.

Dave.

Been after a microscope for such a long time, but can't seem to decide which, so in the end don't bother at all.

How do you find trying to solder looking at the screen, rather than the PCB? I've read some people find this almost impossible.
