Trafford Park Raid Manchester 12.03.15

It was an 800 mile round trip over 36 hours for me, and I've still not quite recovered! Drive for 5 hours. Swap car. Drive for 4 hours. Drink beer. Doze for 6 hours. Move cabs for 4 hours. Drive for 4 hours. Unload lorry. Drive for 4 hours. Collapse.

just wanna recognise the efforts some of you lot go through to rescue these cabs. i certainly can't do something like that cos i don't think my body would physically allow me to. i've never driven a lorry for starters.

A few weeks ago we were made aware of a substantial amount of machines that were being pulled out of storage due to non payment of storage rent.

i have a question.

did the people send you photos or did they give you a list of cabs there? or was it literally, "we have about X number of these gaming machines here... come and get them if you want them". and you didn't know what to expect until you got there and saw 2 space harriers, etc etc?? that would have been quite a surprise if that was the case.

Now I have seen arcade hell (Worms, Germany) and arcade paradise (Manchester, UK) within two weeks. I'm happy that those loveley cabs have survived and I'm sure they will all go to good hands!!

Each time such storages are opened I wonder if a Journey will pop up but it really seems they never made it over the pond....well, except mine two years ago

We should all be very lucky that these cabs n parts were saved...period.
For people to have traveled hundreds of miles and made huge efforts to save all this stuff, rather than seeing it land-filled....

It is nice enough the guys documented it all, and spent all their personal time and expense on all this lot just for the hobby and the community.

Look forward to seeing some stuff up for sale in the coming weeks,

As for me, that are the most important parts anyway.
IF it is emulated you can get 2 beamers, or maybe even one with nowadays technic that will have a much nicer picture than the orignals.
