seems a shame no one else was invited
Just to explain how these things work...
Given the location I'm sure plenty of people will think that. And that's understandable. But you HAVE to involve the absolute minimum number of people or you will lose the deal. This isn't just pessimistic thinking, it's fact based on prior experience. I'm not about to go into detail but it almost happened here as it was through no fault of anyone involved, just a strange turn of events.
I am in the community for a year now, and what I learned from comparing me with other collectors is that such raids come to you by itself.
Of course, you need some luck always, but with sitting on the couch and waiting no raid will ever happen.
In the year I am active now I made over 10 far distance trips, mostly with minor to no results.
Oliver is the most important collector and roadtripper in the UK and for sure one of the brightest lights worldwide....and my supporter from the beginning - thanks for that mate!
To make trips like that is not as easy. When you find such games you are terribly exited and the last thing you think about is to make pictures for the community, but still we do it although we would rather love to dig through all the stuff.
I improve qualtiy with Photoshop, load them up to the picture-host, post them and write a description.
All this is a lot of time work and effort.
For what guys like Oliver do we should be greatful as it enlights our day.
As for my own part, I never let participate other people in my raid. What I dont need goes straight in the community but my raids are my raids as I made the research and networking, spent the time, paid for the van and gas and paid the food for the guys who helped me.
So the only thing to say is
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME OLIVER
