Nice one, i figured this would be only arcades that are more old school initially but having thought about it holiday type arcades are a dying breed also in some places and the more we add on might help in some small way.

Will update this after my nightshifts next week..

Got about 4 in Bournemouth, none really any good but one was an amazing one in the nineties.
Neptunes: Family Entertainement Centre was Gold Rush 20 Sea Rd, Bournemouth, Boscombe, Dorset BH5 1DD
Pier Amusments: Council Run FEC, Pier Approach, West Cliff BH2 5AA
Happyland: FEC, The Waterfront, Pier Approach, Bournemouth, Dorset BH2 5AA
Fun Central: FEC, 45-47 Westover Rd, Bournemouth, Dorset BH1 2BZ (This place was Sega World in the mid nineties)
I currently work at one and did work at Sega Park which use to be Sega World when my mate worked there but sadly is now Fun Central.

Silcock's Funland on Southport Pier has a couple of old machines (Defender, Space Invaders, and a 60-in-1) and a Star Wars Battlepod. http://www.silcock-leisure.co.uk/funland.htm

Not retro, but Namco Funscape at the Trafford Centre in Manchester has a few modern ones, 4 x Outrun 2, and a few more big driving and shooting cabs, a couple of dance machines plus another Star Wars Battlepod.

Fun City on Pier Road Whitby North Yorkshire has a handful of machines, Sega Rally 2, Manx TT, and a couple of others including Transformers. Played Sega Rally there a couple of weeks ago, so I know it's still there.

Neptunes: Has nothing worth mentioning

Fun Central: Has 3 Outrun 2 (Dlx), Transformers (Theatre), Let's Go Jungle (Theatre), Time Crisis 4 (Dlx), Dance Stage Euromix 2, Daytona USA (Twin, but only 1 side has been working for a long time), HOTD 4 (Dlx), Guitar Hero and a Mad Wave.

Pier Amusements: Has 4 Nascar (Dlx, the Global VR ones not Sega), Time Crisis 4 (Dlx), Dance Stage X (I think), Star Wars Battle Pod, Jurrasic Park (Theatre, Raw Thrills), 4 Mario Kart 3, Daed Storm Pirates (Theatre), 2 Batman, Airline Pilot (Dlx), Time Crisis 5 (Dlx), HOTD 4 (Dlx), Big Buck HD, Dark Escape 4D, Super Alpine Racer, Super Bikes 2 and probably a couple of other less interesting ones.

Happyland: Has Dance Stage Euromix 1, Time Crisis 3 (Std) and sadly thats it for proper video games the rest is all pushers and ticket based stuff plus a Mad Wave.

They are all still open on southend seafront. unfortunately they all have the same ole modern crap :(

c'mon, they have R-Type at the Happidrome!

i must go at least once more this year before it's winter.

Happidrome is an exception :)

Aside from an ab climax and OR2 deluxe there really wasn't much goodness last time I went, better off heading up to Astro City

It also has (had, earlier this year?) Jurassic park arcade cockpit sitdown thing, a Dancing Stage something, A super alpine racer, Lets go Jungle and perhaps another sega rally (I deffo played a Sega Rally 1, memory fails if there was a 2 stashed in there as well)

If we're doing US as well..

Santa Cruz Beach Beach boardwalk http://beachboardwalk.com/casinoarcade/
has* a good selection of retro stuff including Super sprint and Super off-road in the main bit, and a section tucked off to the side with those retro cabs that are rarer than hens teeth here but seemingly 10 a penny over there :)http://beachboardwalk.com/casinoarcade/

as does Musée Mécanique http://museemecaniquesf.com which has* a good selection of what I'd consider retro, and a whole load of stuff way way older than that. Good set of photos here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.292409190868306.63073.154202008022359&type=1

* maybe "had" not "has", this info from late 2013.

I was fortunate to get about 4 hours in SF and about 2 in SC, and of course these were the places I went :)

it's been a while now, but i get more fun out of the happidrome than astro city, as they have metal hawk, lots of 2p pushers and 2p roulette, track n field, the sitdown flight sim and several pinball machines. i even took me mam there a few weeks' back and i was surprised how much she enjoyed herself.

You misunderstood, Happidrome is the exception to all the other ones that are filled with starndard modern sh*t.

Nice one chaps.. All updated..

Whats the opinion on the US Arcades.. Having them forces the map over.. We could split them and have one for UK, one for North America and one for Europe???
