Hi, I bought one of these for a 2nd cab as it sounded good and was cheaper than another pi2jamma. I was trying to go through the setup and every time it changes screen I have to adjust vertical sync?? My chassis is a bit crap though (electrohome).

Also is there a way to stop the menu music?

It's the older image on a Pi 3B.

Thanks

Has anyone hooked one of these up with counters in place? I like the counter being on my cab but wasn't sure of the best way to physically install the diodes I'd need to put in place, at least securely.

If anyone has or knows someone that has, let me know! Otherwise I'll figure something out or head for a pi2jamma

I'm not sure if the counters are connected to I2C port expander. If they are, they will kill it since it is for 3.3V and cannot withstand the 12V from the counters. Do not plug any thing with more then 3.3V on that thing it has no protection at all.

I believe that's why they tell people to put the diodes in place. It's honestly the only thing that's putting me off buying one at the moment.

Yes, that could be the reason. I have one and it is doing its job as log as you are beeing careful with it.
Can't be used with an coin acceptors that has pull ups to 5V.

Got one of these recently and it works great with one exception, I can’t get the image centred properly. I’m trying to run this in my Pac-Man cabaret cab as I want a few more Pac-Man related games in it.

As it’s in a Pac-Man cab, the image is rotated by 90 degrees and the image needs shifting to the right (to the top of the monitor if it was horizontal). I think this can be done through the HDMI timings in the config file, but I have a feeling that there are separate settings for the UI and the games and I don’t know how to control the games settings (I think the UI maybe the main settings file but I’m not sure)

I can adjust the pots on the monitor, but then when I run the Pac-Man PCB that’s now off centre. 😕

I’ve got a Raspberry Pi 3 and 4 so can use any of the RGB-Pi OS’s. I think it’s the front porch/back porch settings in the HDMI timings, but I don’t know where to apply those settings are located.

Can anyone help please? ☺️

I bought one of the original RGB-pi cards a few months ago, kept putting off inserting the keyway and of course plugged it in backwards one day. 100% my fault, just as I was getting it set up properly too.

I ordered a replacement last week, but see that the original is now discontinued and there's an "alternative version" with the only difference being no amplified sound. I literally took delivery of it today, testing it out on my supergun the first thing I did was push the keyway into pin 7 on the connector. But again I saw the smoke and more damage. WTF, I plugged it in the right way (see pictures).

Is it possible that there's an explanation other than I'm going mad? The supergun runs off an ATX PSU with +5v spot-on. Old and new adapters in the photos, showing damage to the new one and how I connected it to the supergun.

Pin 7 is the other end of the connector

I’ve given up fiddling about with one of these. Mine doesn’t seem to boot properly anymore after trying several sd cards and the difficulties with trying to mess about with custom resolutions etc. I’ve bought a recalbox Jamma solution as the software on that gives more options and there is more support for it on their site.

@Shun got a link for that? Not sure I'll buy another one of these.

I know they're not the best but I had never had these problems with my pi2jamma. Could have bought one of those with the money I've wasted now.
