Yeh I see what your saying,
But it has existentially harmed Microsoft as it’s the universally recognised brand.
Not really, there are lots of systems out there that had no issue at all on Friday as they dont using anything with the crowdstrike software on it.
All the systems looked after by the company I work for had no issues at all, and they all are using Microsoft OS's and cloud systems.
But similar things have happened in the past, we use Sophos for AV and hacking/intrusion prevention on outr devices and they did an update several years that would max out the processors on servers or something along those lines to making them unusable and caused us some issues as we had to go out to each site and manually reboot them into safe mode to fix.
