TAITO Egret II

So you may remember my wanted post from back before Christmas where I was requesting a TAITO Egret II. Well a fine chap indeed came through with a fantastic example. After some negotiating, we settled on a price and it was promptly shipped to me.

I have since purchased a Japanese Hyper Fighting PCB (which is my favourite game ever), and I also have an Irken Labs JAMMA Extender MiSTer setup installed.

I have a Seimitsu NOBI stick and new buttons on the way. I’m in the process of ordering a 1L7B control panel so I can have dual CPS and MVS controls. I’ll get a topper too once I can find some Hyper Fighting art. I would like an original service manual too, but one will arise I’m sure.

It’s currently in my kitchen until I get it all sorted, then it will be moved into my games room.

I am made up with it all.

It looks to have had a little touch-up in some places around the control panel, but it looks to be in original condition outside of that. Zero burn on the monitor too, which is awesome.

It isn’t here yet. That’s just the bullet top from one on an LS-32. I’ve got used to it pretty quickly though. I think that the NOBI will be great.

Ooh, you have an original marquee cover. I prefer the pink though. I feel that it goes better with the rest of the decals.

I don’t suppose you know anything about a TAITO stereo amp, and where I might find one or an equivalent?

Thank you. It’s been my dream to own one for about 30 years when I first played on one. I’ve actually got another one coming too. One for hori, and one for vert. You may as well do things properly.

Yes, welcome to the club, I joined it last year!
Great accessible cabs, have never tried to rotate the monitor but supposedly it is easy.

I’ve pretty much finished my games room.

Desk area on one wall, then if I spin my chair around, the Egret II.


I had major issues getting the cab upstairs, but I’m pretty much sorted now once Hillary’s install my slats on the window.
