I am the idiot who actually called up Electrocoin in 1992, and bought a brand new Street Fighter Champ Ed. Xenon Cab, so this one has never been out in the wild, yes I have replaced the sticks and buttons, and it has no coin mech, but I wouldn't change it for anything else. Seeing 3+ together is pure nostalgia porn for me though!

Realised the CP needed a wipe!

Beautiful! No coin mechs either as it never went into an arcade. Such an amazing example.

I know I bought your buttons off you but can't remember if I bought the sticks too? Because they were SF buttons from new I used them on one of my SF control panels as it seemed fitting.

That must have been one of the photos I took for ebay when I sold it on again, that bit of wood on the left of cash door I seem to remember replacing because of the hole in it, I seem to remember removing it to see why it was there and it just had a bigger hole behind it so cut a better bit of wood to bolt back on. I should still have the photo's in my ebay pics but depends if I lost some stuff when hard drive failure happens. I'll have to see if I can find any more of it
The ashtray, is a mystery though. did I remove it, can't remember but thats my window on the side of my extension reflecting in the glass

Something I've only just thought of, that's a very odd placement for the Steering wheel, normally you'd have them in the center but thats way over one side o_O
Yeah I thought that too. Maybe they moved it across to give ample space for the ashtray 😆

Notice I kept the 1p 2p start buttons original though!

Dunno who bought the sticks, I know one was scuffed on the top, it came like that

Matt that is an absolutely superb collection !
Totally my idea of a home arcade when I started collecting
I had a good few xenon’s in my time ,
There at least one Goliath I. This video and there’s a pic of one of my xenon’s when I had them in my shed
Cheers mate. Think I've got pics of your Xenons somewhere.

Never seen that vid! It's Double Dragon in the Goliath and there's also an Electrocoin Zero Hour cab on the right hand side.

A few more I’ve had.

I stuck a load on our Arcade. The Goliath I sold to AC. The Xenon’s ended up in various arcades. The Centi’s ended up in private collections as did the choice.

I also had a Spectrum with SSFIIT which went to private collection.
No pics though
Very nice! I remember I tried to buy/trade that Double Dragon marquee. I've got the black background one but not the blue background so if anyone has one I'll do you a good deal.

Oh yeah, hadn't noticed. I may have bought the sticks off you at a different time thinking about it as I remember a conversation about a scuffed stick. I'm never bothered about the odd scuff.

Had Electrocoin moved to micro switches by that point or were they still using leaf buttons on stf2 ?

I remember on here and JAMMA+, people used to hate Electrocoin Cabs, especially Xenon's, the size, hard to work on etc, and tbh the QC on them leaves a lot to be desired, had to resurrect mine a few times, but it all adds to the nostalgia for me, around Sheffield/Rotherham in the mid 80s to 2000s, Electrocoin Cabs were everywhere, Silverline too, although I hated the sloping CPs on those, always gave we wrist ache/Arcade hand. I go annually to Arcade club to see the line of Goliaths they have, just takes me back...

Well that killed the thread

Not sure how or why you could say you hate Electrocoin Cabs, they are built well, well thought out, decent Control Panels and still around all these years later
Though I never took any notice of the cabs in the 80s, just the game itself and hadn't noticed electrocoin name until early 2000s after joining these sites but as so many of the Dedicated and Jamma cabs were Electrocoin built under licence it's great we got many more dedicated cabs here than we probably would have without the company

Found one of my DVDs with ebay pics on but still trying to find Goliath Driver ones, got 1st Turbo Outrun cockpit, 2nd Outrun Dx, Double Dragon 2 photos and the Juno First pcb I had, sure there is a disc labeled ebay pics 2 somewhere from early days and it was after my extension was done in 2007 I got Pole Postion 2 and Hyper Crash from same place so should be more pics of that as well

Hey Chris, I finally worked out what your shaped control panel on your Centi was originally. It's bugged me for years because the button placements didn't match the SF, Rampage or Mercs and there was no other evidence of any other ganes that used that special cp but I've finally got the answer.

Any guesses before I post the pic?

It was Combat School! All buttons in exactly the same position as yours.

Hmm, that's not what I was expecting  are they trackballs? be nice to find a better picture

so next question is, whats the cab from with that on the sides. it had a football pcb in it when I bought it

That's confused me now with P.O.W as I was sure i'd seen one with these type control panels on, had it in local arcade but no idea if it was centi
