I had a look around and I can't see the exact Viletim boards I used but he looks to have [these] that can be used with Brook Retro boards. They look a bit more 'wirey' but they could be neatened up a bit and wouldn't require pad hacks.

Do these just convert the controls, and you run the video and audio separately?

No it does video too. There is a scart input on the side that takes video from the console

Yeah, that looks pretty complicated and not nearly as neat as yours.

I came across an article about a JAMMA adapter setup that @muddymusic owned (I think), but it was a very old post.
