yes as thats the es31 flyback
the only one available is from tecknoservice, you will get some odd interference which is affected by brightness but like tony said better than a non working monitor

well turn it down until picture is almost black then retry vga signal
Just tried it with it down to where I can barely seen the screen. Powered on the signal to VGA and the monitor cuts out.

I have the chassis just on the single metal plate not the secondary one that connects to the frame, assume that is ok?1000095881.jpg

same fault you had with original flyback?
you must have a bad connection or solder joint somewhere
Old flyback wasn't powering up at all in the end. I've gone over pretty much all of the board with fresh solder.

Power connector or short somewhere? They all seem to have a decent connection at the monitor but not followed them back.

you would need to go into much more in depth monitoring of b+, vertical ic vcc and eht
if its a bad connection then you should be able to tap the chassis and cause the issue

Is your Xbox vga resolution set to 640 x 480 ?

You might have it on 800x600
29e won’t go above 640x480
I'm pretty sure it will have kept those settings from previous but it could have reset as it's not had a display when powering on for last few times.

I'll use the PC that I know is fine and working on my other Naomi cab.
