Do any of the adjustment pots on face of the ms9 T Adjust ( slow down )
The rolling vertical sync ?



I can see H H 15 … assuming horizontal hold 15khz mode ..
But this is scrolling vertically ?

And these pots are glued shut ?

Which leads me to think I’m still in 31khz mode ? The mister isn’t outputting correclty

VGA out is putting out rgbs so I can get picture on the cab now ..

But the ribs on the jamma finger board
I get a scrolling image ?

Tried toggle 0 on the de-10 ala mistercade v1 mode .. same result

I don’t think I have the correct script
As my script only discribes using the vga for rbs ..

Obviously I don’t want to use the bloody vga output!

Also don’t know why WiFi dongle has started to no longer auto work now it needs re-inserting in the usb slot

It will do that if it’s not getting enough power. There are ones that specifically work with mister and a lot don’t.

I’d be looking at sync in green option in the ini / phone app and adjust v hold on your monitor chassis. Is there not a remote board for monitor controls ?

You need to adjust v hold on your monitor and try all the sync modes in the mister ini. Make certain there is no dip switch on the board for sync options.

Run a few different games as some output diff refresh rates. Try a cave core, r-type or mr do. Something with an oddball one.

If all else fails then one of your other cabs.

I mean I have a irem image fight 3 stack pcb & a dark soft cps3 in the egret all ready and this will still fit 🤪🤪😊…
I really like groovymame but it’s when you play this mister that you feel that diffrence .. and it makes all the difference!!!

I’m still a bit confused about Cores and roms ?

Neo geo core —— takes neo geo roms ?
Hardware Software …

Cps1 & 2 go in mame folder with all arcade roms

But neo geo go in neo geo folder ?

I might need to Pop round yours when possible

Osd is out of sync ..
It’s like the jamma edge on this jamma/jvs bootleg isn’t getting the video command the vga socket is getting .

Like you say a jumper that has vga and jamma makes sence which it has but only shows a scrolling image ..
Vertical scrolling ..
I cannot see a vetical hold on the ms9 chassis .

Remote allows for vga to be set to rgb s
For crt & arcade monitors and that is working with the Jpac fine .

All my controlls work fine like that .

But why can’t I get the jamma edge on this card to work ?

Ni need for v-hold ms9. It will auto sync and lock on provided you give it the right signal. The manual States it can sync from 55hz-65hz (so pretty much all your arcade boards). In real world testing I can inject sync signals as low as around 48hz and as high as 77hz before losing sync.

Then ..
Composite sync
Enabled .

Cheap Ali express card is all good
Except …. I have had sound out the hdmi fine ..
But I cannot get analog sound out

Now I can get picture on jamma edge
Can’t define joystick and buttons ..

Also the video amp seemed totally shit
Dull..
Compared to the Jpac style adaptor don’t know why or if again I don’t have a correct script etc..

So with the Jpac style adaptor image is sweet super crisp colourful ..

Buttons & stick mapping totally straight forward .

All I need now is sound !.

Think I will try a hdmi to something ?
I tried toggle sw3 up on the de-10 but didn’t do anything .

You need to assign different VID or PID devices in your ini for your jamma connector. They tell the MiSTer which controller IDs to use. It’s probably set for JPAC.
